Place the strongest pattern as a vertical strip, bottom band, or large background shape. Keep the immediate photo mat quiet. This separates photographs from decoration while still letting the paper establish the mood.
A 3×4-inch journaling block holds roughly 60 to 100 handwritten words, depending on size. Draw light pencil guidelines or print the text block before assembling the page.
