Try this one-photo arrangement

Start with a portrait 4 × 6 photo from an everyday fall moment and a note with its date, place, and one detail the picture cannot show. This is a suggested layout you can adapt before attaching anything:

1. Place the photo on a 4.5 × 6.5-inch mat, with the photo centered to leave a narrow border.
2. Set that mat near the left side of a 12 × 12 page, about ¾ inch from the top and left edges.
3. Put a 5 × 3-inch journaling card to the right, aligned with the photo’s top edge. Leave about ½ inch between the card and mat.
4. Add a 10.5 × ¾-inch patterned strip near the bottom, leaving about ¾ inch at each side. Keep it below the writing area.

For the background and card, use a basic or ghosted sheet if its contrast keeps your handwriting easy to read. Let the stronger pattern appear in the narrow strip. If the paper behind the note is busy, use a plain light card from your own supplies for the journaling area. Read the note at normal size before you commit to the arrangement.
